Academy Awards 2017: This year’s nominees

Only 10 days until the red carpet will be filled with glam, fashion and Hollywood’s biggest stars. The 89th Academy Awards will honor the best films of 2016. Hosted by ABCs executive producer Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, awards will be given in 24 distinct film categories. This year, the Academy made history by announcing the nominees via global live stream on the official website. The film La La Land has received a record-tying 14 nominations. Other record-tying films are All About Eve (1950) and Titanic (1997). Be sure to tune in on ABC on February 26th for an exciting night that will honor a select few with Hollywood’s much coveted Oscar.
